Had I considered the fact that “picture day” would still be in my life after the age of 18, I might have chosen a different career path.

It isn’t that I hate having my picture taken. I’m not one of those. (Heck, just look at my Facebook page!) There’s just something about “picture day” that makes my eyes roll. Maybe it’s the silly poses, the apathetic photographers, or the fact that I always —  no matter what —  even now(!) — end up looking like an 8th grader. I was at work for twelve (yep) hours today, and part of it is because of dance team pictures after school. Not only am I subjected to picture day in the fall during school, but as a coach, I have to get head-shots and be a part of a team photo for fall, winter, and spring sports. They get me on four separate occasions every year! What a treat, eh?

Thankfully, I coach with the best of the best, and our little dance team girls are, of course, the prettiest, most poised young ladies at school. Picture day could be worse.

I’ll end my idle complaints and leave you with a (blurry) picture of the Dancin’ Eagles cheering on the football team on Senior Night. Aren’t they just adorable?

Blurry, I know.
